"I thought I was just tired. What I learned is that my body wasn’t broken, it was braced. I’m going home with a different kind of strength."

- Ginny, Consultant· True North Resilience Retreat Attendee

This isn’t escape. It’s a nervous system reset.

Rest alone doesn't fix high-functioning burnout

Understanding your burnout pattern is the first step. Shifting it requires going somewhere insight alone cannot reach

The physical layer, where chronic stress is stored in fascia, in hormones, in a nervous system that has been running on threat response for years, does not respond to understanding alone. It responds to new experience in the body itself, in an environment that gives your system actual evidence that something has changed.

And sometimes the layer that needs the work is the woman who has been filling every space for so long she has forgotten what it feels like to be surprised by her own life. Getting out of your ordinary environment is its own biological reset.

The nervous system cannot run the same patterns in a place it has never been, with women who get it, doing something it has never done.

why retreats work

A 2019 peer-reviewed study found that 20 to 30 minutes in a natural environment reduces cortisol (the primary stress hormone) by more than 21%.

The Regulated Woman

The True North Expedition

two retreat types

Healing · Body-Based

Expansion · Awe-Based

Release

For the woman who is done cycling through the same depletion pattern. Rest hasn't fixed it. Insight hasn't held. The body is still carrying what life has already moved past, and ordinary environments no longer reach it. This retreat goes to the physical layer and gives your body actual evidence that it is safe to let go.

For the woman who has been filling every space for so long she's forgotten what it feels like to be surprised by her own life. These expeditions are built with enough of a plan to feel cared for and enough room left to still be discovered; the random turn, the view nobody planned, the conversation that changes something. Travel has a way of reminding you that there are still versions of your life you haven't considered yet. That reminder is the work.

The woman who needs to exhale and the woman who needs to feel alive again are often the same woman at different seasons. These retreats are built for both.

Wonder

Most retreats work at the cognitive and emotional layer. You leave with insights and a feeling of connection that fades by the following week. True North Resilience goes somewhere else entirely.

Grounded. Science-backed.

Our Retreats are Different

01 (Both)

Guided hiking, ATV riding, kayaking, snowshoeing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, always choice-based, always designed to give your nervous system new data about what safe and alive can feel like at the same time. The environment itself does work before the first session starts.

Adventure that interrupts survival autopilot

02 (healing)

The fascial layer is where chronic stress lives in the body. Through evidence-based fascia rolling and somatic sessions, your body experiences genuine release, not as a concept but as a physical memory it can return to.

Fascia release and somatic healing you can feel

03 (both)

NEUROFIT-informed practices, breathwork, and daily regulation tools tailored to your nervous system archetype, so the work feels personalized even inside a group container. You leave knowing your early warning system and how to work with it.

Nervous system regulation tools for real conditions

04 (healing)

Anti-inflammatory, hormone-balancing, blood-sugar-stabilizing meals prepared by a private chef. Every meal is designed around nervous system recovery. You will feel the difference in your gut, your energy, and your sleep.

Functional nutrition that supports your system

Built for real relief.

06 (both)

A small group, application-only, of women in a similar enough place that the room can hold something real. No performance required. Everyone here already knows what it costs to hold it all together.

Women who don't need you to explain it

05 (expansion)

Enough of a plan to feel cared for. Enough room left to discover the thing nobody put on the itinerary; the view around the next bend, the conversation that changes something, the moment that becomes everyone's favorite part of the trip.

The kind of experience that reminds you life can still surprise you

Intimate, seasonal retreats designed for ambitious, high-functioning women who are done cycling through the same depletion pattern. Each one is held in a place that does real work on your nervous system before the first session starts, and built around the physical layer that most recovery approaches never reach.

enough.

Choosing a retreat is more than booking a trip. You’re investing your time, your money, and your trust into an experience that’s meant to support you in a meaningful way. At True North Resilience, we believe great retreats begin with thoughtful planning, clear communication, and professional operations long before you arrive.

Most wellness weekends work at the cognitive and emotional layer. You leave with insights, connection, and a feeling that fades by the following week. These retreats go to the physical layer, where chronic stress actually lives in the body. Fascia, nervous system patterns, hormones, and the biology of sustained pressure are addressed directly. You leave with a body memory of what release feels like, not just an understanding of it.

Because the pattern is physiological, not motivational. When the nervous system has been running on threat response long enough, rest in ordinary environments no longer reaches it. The body stays braced even when the schedule clears. These retreats create the specific conditions, nature, somatic work, fascial release, and a container without performance pressure, that allow the body to actually stand down.

The Juicy Roll Method is a fascia release practice developed by Malaena Kelson. The fascial layer is where chronic stress lives in the body. It is connective tissue that tightens under sustained pressure and holds the pattern in place long after the stressor has passed. Fascial release gives the body physical evidence that it is safe to let go. It is one of the highest-yield elements in The Regulated Woman Retreat.

These retreats are designed for high-functioning ambitious women at two different points. Those who are already depleted and need to put something down, and those who feel the cost increasing and want to address it before it becomes a crisis. Both benefit from a different kind of work than insight alone can offer.

The Regulated Woman Retreat works at the healing layer, fascia release, somatic work, nervous system regulation, functional nutrition. For the woman whose body needs to put something down. The True North Expedition works at the expansion layer, awe, adventure, next-horizon experiences, and the particular aliveness that comes from being somewhere new with women who get it. For the woman whose nervous system needs to remember there are still versions of her life she hasn't considered yet. Both address burnout. They do it through different doors.

Because the container only works if the women inside it are in a similar enough place that the room can hold something real. Kelsey reviews every application personally, to make sure the retreat is the right fit for you, and that you are the right fit for the group. The application is the first step in being cared for.

Real. Grounded. No performance required. The women who describe these retreats most consistently say the same thing: they did not expect to feel as safe as they did, as quickly as they did. Small group size, shared context, and the specific absence of pressure to show up as anything other than where you actually are. That combination creates something most high-functioning women have not felt in a long time.

Within 72 hours. Kelsey reviews every application personally. If she has a fit question or wants a brief conversation before confirming, she will reach out directly.

Most women who come to these retreats arrive alone. A few of them will tell you later that arriving without someone they knew was part of what made it work, there was no one to perform for, no one managing their experience of it alongside their own.

The application process means everyone in the room has been vetted to be in a similar enough place that you do not have to explain yourself. That does most of the social work before you arrive.

If you want to bring someone, a friend or family member is welcome to join you and share a private room. Both of you receive $500 off the private room rate. Reach out after submitting your application and we will sort it out.

The retreats that didn't hold probably gave you something real. The insight was there. What was missing was anything specific enough to your system to keep working once you got home.

The work here is built around your Survival Archetype, the specific nervous system pattern you are running, not a general protocol that works well enough for most people in the room. You leave with a Nervous System Map built to your pattern, archetype-specific regulation practices, and a fascia roller with instruction on how to use it. These are not takeaway gifts. They are the reason the work continues after you land back in your ordinary life.

A few months after the retreat, once the ordinary environment has started reasserting itself and integration begins to slip, you have a group or personal coaching call with Kelsey. That timing is deliberate. Most retreats end at the airport. This one doesn't.

Honestly, it varies. A woman who has been carrying a two-year load will integrate differently than one who has been accumulating it for a decade, and there is no clean answer that covers both.

What every woman leaves with is a personalized Nervous System Map and archetype-specific regulation tools she can use on her own schedule. How consistently she uses them shapes what holds. The longer the load has been building, the more intentional the return home needs to be. Kelsey will tell you that plainly during the retreat, not in a way that adds pressure but in a way that helps you plan.

A few months after you leave, when integration typically starts to slip, you have a group or personal coaching call with Kelsey. She waits that long deliberately. The first weeks home usually feel manageable. It's the return of the ordinary that needs the support.

This is not therapy and Kelsey is not a therapist. It is somatic work, nervous system regulation, fascial release, and archetype-specific tools that work at the biological layer, the layer that talk therapy often cannot reach on its own, no matter how good the therapist is.

A lot of the women who come to these retreats are already working with a therapist. Some come specifically because they feel stuck even with good therapy. The cognitive work has gone as far as it can, and something in the body has not caught up. That gap is exactly what this work is designed for.

The one woman this retreat is not right for is someone in active crisis. If that is where you are, reach out anyway. Kelsey will point you toward the right support and will be honest with you about what the retreat can and cannot hold.
